In an ever so growing world we often ignore how much of our decisions we are really in control of. After my father showed me an article in the Guardian (link is in the Further Reading Section) I truly saw the reality of it. The first thing I did was find an app to basically monitor my usage and put a limit to it. I used an app called Space which monitors my usage and reminds me to stop using my phone at regular intervals. I will publish my data in a couple of days to show what my usage and findings were. The second thing I did was figure out things that made certain apps addictive. SNAPCHAT First of all let me point out that my analysis of this may be slightly hypocritical as I may still continue to use snap even after I publish this but here is my understanding of the situation. So what made my Snap experience addicting?
I don’t know enough about Facebook because I stopped using it regularly but I can say that I get lured in to these two social media platforms for these reasons.
